Visitors are welcome. We encourage interested families to visit the school. Please contact the office (937.767.7642 or email Nathan) to schedule an appointment to tour the school or meet with a teacher.
Because The Antioch School is a small school, our group size and enrollment numbers are limited. We do accept applications at any time. When we receive your application, your child's name will be placed on our waiting list.
During Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences, decisions are made regarding our current students' placements for the upcoming year. If there are openings in any groups, admissions decisions for new students are made and parents are then notified (usually in April or May) that we will be able to welcome their child.
Financial Aid may be available. Contact the office to request an application or download it from the Financial Aid page.
Placement
The placement of children in groups is open for evaluation at anytime. If the parent, child, or faculty feel it is advisable to move a child from one group to another, a conference between parents and faculty will be held. The faculty has the final decision.
Early Admission Policy
Any child may apply for early admission. Readiness for early admission is determined by the teacher. The teacher will use any or all of the following methods to determine readiness for early admission:
a. Recommendation from Nursery or Kindergarten teacher
b. Observations of student while in Nursery or Kindergarten
c. Parent conferences
d. Readiness tests
Non-Discrimination Policy
The Antioch School admits children of any sex, race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin to all of the rights, privileges, and programs generally accorded or made available to children at the School. The Antioch School does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race color, religion, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions, scholarship and loan programs, or athletic or other school administered programs.
The Antioch School is not equipped to serve all children with severe emotional and/or physical handicaps or all children with severe learning and/or behavioral problems. Each case will be evaluated on an individual basis.
